WiSTEM_Gh AND SCISA WOMEN'S COMMISSION VISITS THE GYINYASE M/A SCHOOL TO CELEBRATE MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY 

As part of the celebration of Menstrual Hygiene Day 2024, WiSTEM_Gh also collaborated with the Science Students Association (SCISA) Women's Commission to visit the Gyinyase M/A School to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene and to provide disposable sanitary pads to the female students.

The SCISA Women’s Commissioner facilitated a discussion on menstrual hygiene, covering topics such as the menstrual cycle, menstrual hygiene practices, and the importance of using clean and safe menstrual products.

Following the discussion, Prof. Ibok Oduro, the President of WiSTEM_Gh, delivered a detailed presentation on the proper use and care of sanitary pads.

The program was deemed successful, with students expressing gratitude for both the information shared and the provision of sanitary pads. Representatives from WiSTEM_Gh and SCISA expressed satisfaction with the program's outcomes and reiterated their commitment to ongoing efforts in raising awareness about menstrual hygiene management.
